The Hi Life Paddle is a three-piece convertible design built to complement the Perception Hi Life kayak, though it works well with other stable recreational kayaks and SUPs too. In kayak mode the shaft adjusts from 215 to 230 cm, covering a good range of paddler heights and boat widths. Remove one blade, swap in the grip, and you have a SUP paddle adjustable from 74 to 80 inches for standing paddling. The push-button ferrule makes length changes quick enough to do on the water without tools or fuss.

The aluminium shaft with fibreglass-reinforced polypropylene blades keeps the overall package light and durable enough for regular recreational use. At 2.9 lbs in kayak configuration and 2.2 lbs as a SUP paddle, it won't win any weight comparisons against carbon touring gear, but it's a practical, hardwearing option for paddlers who want versatility without managing two separate paddles.
