About Nile Crocodiles:

The Nile crocodile is an African crocodile and the largest freshwater predator in Africa. They have thick, scaly, heavily armored skin that protects them from attacks. Nile crocodiles are very aggressive and capable of taking almost any animal within their range, from fish to zebras to buffalo—even attacking hippos and young elephants! They can grow up to 20 feet long and weigh over 1,600 pounds. The mouths of Nile crocodiles are filled with 64 to 68 sharply pointed, cone-shaped teeth designed for gripping prey. They're ambush predators that can launch themselves out of the water with incredible speed and power. Nile crocodiles are relatively social, often seen basking in groups. Despite their fearsome reputation, they're caring parents—mothers gently carry their babies in their mouths to water and protect them for months. These ancient reptiles have remained virtually unchanged for millions of years and can live 70-100 years!

Manufactured in China. CollectA's Wildlife Series celebrates Africa's most powerful predators. Jack's has a long standing history of being a Blue Ribbon Breyer dealer since 1994. Ages 3+
