The Kowa TSN-88A PROMINAR 88mm Angled Spotting Scope Body uses most of the same technology of the TSN-99A scope. A full magnesium alloy body replaces the hybrid magnesium/aluminum bodies of the 880s. No longer is the filter thread at the distal end of the lens hood: it now resides right in front of the objective lens so filters are shaded from direct light when the lens hood is extended, improving glare reduction. An additional screw hole in the mounting foot allows for multi-screw QR plate eliminating the possibility of the scope twisting on a single mount screw. Optically, there is an additional multi-coated and KR coated convex lens in front of the fluorite crystal convex lens. This system of lenses and upgraded lens coatings results in improved light transmission across the entire visible spectrum for the most natural colors ever in a Kowa spotting scope. The TSN-88A Zoom Set includes the TE-11WZ II Eyepiece. >Also included in the set is an optional aiming sight. The sight fits around the lens mount and is held on by the accessory collar or any of the other accessories that use these threads.
